Living "The Western Lifestyle" In New Mexico
Located near the El Malpais National Monument, near Grants in western New Mexico, Ranchero Rim Ranch is surrounded by a striking landscape of dark volcanic rock, pale sandstone cliffs, and wide-open views.
El Malpais, Spanish for “the badlands”, remains a living homeland for Acoma, Laguna, Zuni, and Navajo peoples, whose traditions and spiritual connections to the land continue today. In short, El Malpais’s history blends ancient Puebloan and Navajo traditions, Spanish exploration, 19th‑century military presence, and 20th‑century homesteading, all preserved in its volcanic landscape and cultural remains.

The Lady of the house started this business in 1995 as The Cowboy's Way, in Belen NM. Design name is I I Z or "Double I Bar Z" . “As long as I can remember, I have enjoyed making things; jewelry, clothing, wood and metal crafts and just arts and crafts in general. I take after my Mom!” My family came from the famous Spur Ranch in Spur, Texas in the early 1900's. We were on Etsy for 12 years, and now we have our own website! God is Good!
The Gentleman of the house is a long-time cowboy, heavy equipment operator and creator of our wood products. These products showcase that special rustic charm of western living. “My family history has a long line of cowboys and cowgirls, many who owned and operated large cattle ranches in New Mexico.”
Living out at the ranch, in a beautiful part of New Mexico, gives us plenty of time to pursue these interests. We hope you enjoy our creations as much as we do!
